Make the house you have the house you want.

Most of the homes we work on were built well, but for someone else. The site is right, the views are right, the bones are good — but the kitchen, the bathrooms or the room layouts are not. A remodel, an addition, or both, is the answer.

Kitchens, baths and whole-house remodels

A kitchen on Bell Hill redesigned to feature that world-class view, a primary bath becomes a private spa with the addition of a steam shower, and a whole-house remodel reflects exactly the way you want to live.

A new layout, new finishes, and efficient new systems, designed for your comfort as well as your needs and desires.

Additional Space

Guest quarters in Port Townsend, a primary suite where a deck used to be, a second story where the lot will not allow a wider footprint, or space for multi-generational households. An addition can seamlessly blend into the existing house in the places you can see, and outperform it in the places you cannot.

Setbacks, height limits, shoreline rules and septic capacity decide what is possible on a Peninsula lot before design starts. We check those first so the design you fall in love with is something that can actually be built.

ADU/Accessory dwelling units

An ADU can be a rental, a place for family, or that perfect cottage out back for your escape. It can be detached, attached, or built into space you already own — a garage, a daylight basement, or the new basement created when a house is lifted onto a taller foundation.

All of the above are situations we have experience resolving.

How a typical project runs

It starts with a conversation about what’s not working for you, and what you’d like to change. From there: measured drawings of what exists, a design to suit you, engineering, and then a budget that is built line by line rather than a ballpark number. Once permits are acquired then construction begins.

We run a limited number of jobs at once, so the ones we take get the full attention they deserve. If a project is not a good fit for us, we will say so as soon as it is clear, so that we don’t delay you.

How do we get started?

Contact us to set up an appointment. Bring photos, a sketch on a napkin, or just the list of what you’re interested in doing. We will tell you what is possible, what drives the cost, and what we recommend. From there the decisions are yours.
